Allow Me to Introduce Myself

Thanks for visiting my site! My full name is Joshua Boyce, but most people call me Boyce. I was born and raised in South Carolina, but moved to Milwaukee in 2015. I recently graduated from a full stack course in software development at devCodeCamp in the Third Ward, and though my current place of employment is not a software company, I've been able to use my new skills in numerous ways, such as writing scripts to monitor and automate daily tasks, and creating a QuickBooks integrated inventory system (see Projects).

Due to family circumstances, I wasn't able to go to college, and instead worked as an agent for Allstate for five years. When I came across devCodeCamp, I knew that this was the opportunity I had been waiting for, and there was no way I could pass it up. Though the course was grueling, it was also far more rewarding than I ever expected.

I love the outdoors, I love people, and I love anything techy: I've wanted to learn to code since the first day we got a computer when I was a kid. I'm a very methodical and detail oriented person, but I also have a vivid imagination and love to think creatively.

I am very much looking forward to becoming part of a team that shares my passion for learning, growth, and community, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. Thank you so much for taking your time to check out my site. If you need anything, please feel free to reach out to me by hitting Contact at the top. Have an awesome day!
